John F. Watson
Kathy Winograd, Ph.D.
and Stevan Kalmon
With Dixie Griffin Good

Online learning is changing the way education is delivered, especially for students whose choices are limited due to where they live, physical challenges, or scheduling conflicts. This edition of Policy Issues highlights K–12 online learning policy and practice based on the report, Keeping Pace With K–12 Online Learning: A Snapshot of State-Level Policy and Practice. Primarily for state education agency staff and policymakers, the publication will help education stakeholders be proactive in shaping policies in order to ensure success in broad access, equitable opportunities, and high-quality online learning options.
