"Black males are one of the highest risk groups for failing in school, and especially for failing in math and science."

"The algebra project gives students a chance to do something different and be something different. Claude Snead is an excellent example of this. He started out as a student in the project at the Oaten Program of the Kingston in Cambridge, and now as a high school senior, he can think of engineering as a serious career option and give something back to other students."

" I like to do something constructive in the sense that I can take some of the skills that I've acquired and give them back to the community basically in the younger kids."
