Dr.
Offie HobbsDr. Offie Hobbs, principal at Madison Middle School 2000, discusses bringing the Internet and computers into the academic playing field. Excerpted from Learning With Technology: Merging Onto the Information Highway, produced by NCREL in 1994.
"This is the video generation. Students are coming to us with technology skills first. Why not start with the known by bringing the internet and computers into the academic playing field up front. Why not have that student connected to the world and be able to ask a scientist a question and get a thousand responses from scientists, community members and students from around the planet. Let's take what we already have and enhance it, and I think we can do that by having the internet in every classroom."
