Relate Mathematics Learning to Other Disciplines

Pathways Home

One way to link mathematics to other disciplines is for teachers to model and articulate the relationships among and between various models of problem solving used across disciplines. Teachers have found that students develop a greater understanding of the problem solving process in one discipline by viewing a like process in other disciplines. The Thinking Across the Curriculum chart included as an artifact has been used with students in over 1000 classrooms!
