Barb Spitz Discusses the Internet

Pathways Home

Barb Spitz, Technology/Resource Director at Madison Middle School 2000 in Madison, Wisconsin, talks about how she is able to provide a wide range of resources for her students using the Internet. Excerpted from Learning With Technology: Merging Onto the Information Highway, produced by NCREL in 1994.

"Most subject areas do not have text books, and as a result, both the library media director and myself are in a position where we feel our role is to provide as much access to information so that students have as wide a range of resources as we can possibly provide, so internet holds a very important role for us. It allows the students to access information from databases around the world, libraries around the world, and they're up to date resources."
