The Center's mission is to conduct research, evaluation, policy analysis, and dissemination to produce new and useful knowledge about how families, schools, and communities influence student motivation, learning, and development. A second important goal is to improve connections among these major social institutions. The Center is a consortium of Boston University, Johns Hopkins University, Michigan State University, the Institute for Responsive Education, Temple University, Wheelock College, and Yale University.
