
Manage, Guide, Document, and Learn From the Change Process
The North Central Regional Educational Laboratory (NCREL)
developed the Strategic Teaching/Reading Project (STRP) as a
professional development initiative that stresses ongoing
professional development. NCREL sponsored four institutes that
assisted teams from the pilot schools in implementing STRP. Each
year, the teams created action plans for their schools. The
following self-assessment recounts the plans of one team from an
elementary school in Cambridge, Illinois. The team met with a
facilitator and developed this reflective as well as active plan.
Also included is an example of the guidelines used by the
Cambridge staff.
