Seven Guiding Principles

The guiding principles outlined in this critical issue are not intended to comprehensively address the many leadership issues, attitudes and behaviors required to effectively guide schools through the high-stakes accountability environment. Rather, the following seven guiding principles offer a starting point and potential springboard to bolster school principals' own initiatives as they confront the challenge and welcome the opportunities that lie ahead.
