Focus Group Questions
for the Strategic Teaching and Reading Project

The Strategic Teaching and Reading Project
is a long-term professional development program that uses reading
as a framework. At the end of each session, participants gather
in small groups to discuss their reactions to the material presented.
The developers then revise the next session's activities based
on the feedback received.
The participants are asked the following questions:
- What is your reaction to the ideas presented in today's sessions?
- Have your concerns of yesterday been addressed today? How?
- Is the information you are receiving sufficient for explaining
your immediate and long-range expectations as experts, advocates,
and disseminators of the Strategic Teaching and Reading Project?
How?
- To this point, what issues does the Strategic Teaching and
Reading Project have yet to address so that it better assists
you in meeting the expectations the project has of you, or that
you have of yourself?
