Evaluation TeamMullins (1994) describes the membership of the evaluation team:
"Evaluation of staff development programs should be conducted by a team. Evaluation team members should be appointed by the principal or school superintendent. Because the results of an evaluation can have a major impact on the school, those appointed to the evaluation team should appreciate the importance of the task. The team should be composed of dedicated, responsible professionals who are knowledgeable about staff development programs and practices--teachers, counselors, and principals make good candidates. The administrator who forms the evaluation team should stress the seriousness of the group's responsibilities. When providing the team with its charge and instructions, the principal (or superintendent) should specify the evaluation task, identify resources available to the team, and establish a deadline for completing the evaluation." (p. 4)
He adds that the evaluation team is responsible for "defining the scope of the project, selecting or creating data collection instruments or forms, analyzing the data, and presenting the results" (p. 4).
