Tracking and Recording School Crime and Violence

Schools must have a system in place to adequately track and record school crime and violence. This tracking and record-keeping system should involve local police and community agencies in exchanging information with the schools. Computers can greatly increase the effectiveness of such a system. Teachers must receive clear direction on what violations to report and how to do the reporting. Discipline administrators must respond to reported violations promptly.
