Chrispeels, Boruta, and Daugherty (1988) present a sample letter for keeping in touch with parents:

"Dear Parents,

In an effort to communicate with you effectively, I'm sending home this form to let you know some of our planned areas of study this week. If you have questions, please use the bottom of the form to jot me a note.
