
Workplace Mentor

Section 4 of the School-to-Work Opportunities Act of 1994 defines workplace
mentor as:
"an employee or other individual, approved by the employer at a workplace,
who possesses the skills and knowledge to be mastered by the student, and who
instructs the student, critiques the performance of the student, challenges the
student to perform well, and works in consultation with classroom teachers and
the employer of the student."
