Scope and Sequence
The teachers at Avoca School District #37 in Wilmette, Illinois, developed the following Scope and Sequence of technology-related skills for their K-8 students. The Scope and Sequence contains eight sections:

K-2nd Grade

Develop awareness of scanning process.
Scan images with assistance.
5th Grade
Develop a (HyperStudio) stack with text, buttons, graphics, and sound.
Understand the scanning process.
Scan images with assistance.
6th Grade
Develop a (HyperStudio) stack with text, buttons, graphics, and sound.
Use scanned and/or digitized images.
Develop awareness of video editing.
7th-8th Grades
Create a multimedia presentation. Presentation may use: video camera and video editing, digital camera, laserdisc, scanner, hypermedia software, audio, 35mm camera.
