Reynolds: My background is language acquisition specialist. I have been a bilingual teacher and am currently a liaison person. I have seen that there is a huge need for technology in the classroom. The technology helps us so much, but I do believe there needs to be even more development made for software for language learners, specifically. What we've done is adapt a lot of the technology that is available and has sometimes been designed for special needs students and modified it for the needs of language learners. One of the things we do is use tape recorders and the Kurtzweil, for instance, WriteOutLoud, as specific ones, to help children hear what it is that they have taped or written or what it is that they're reading, and this is very helpful for our language learners.
