Good Curricular Content

Pathways Home

Instructionally sound student projects are designed to provide opportunities for students to acquire specific content or process skills within the curriculum. The availability of new technology capabilities (such as easy-to-use multimedia development software) may inspire projects, but teachers should ensure that strong curricular content drives the design of technology-supported activities. Teachers should be able to articulate the curricular value of the technology-supported projects that they design. Keeping the focus on educational needs and instructional goals can provide the discipline to keep technology-supported projects on track.
