Roots & Wings

Pathways Home

Roots & Wings is a K-6 program that builds on the Success for All program to help students learn and use their minds successfully. In grades 1 to 5, students participate in the Reading Roots and Reading Wings programs, where they receive tutoring and learn in cooperative groups. Other Roots & Wings programs include Math Wings, in which students manipulate objects, calculators, and computers to discover and apply math to everyday uses; and WorldLab, where students learn science and social studies through group explorations and simulations. Roots & Wings also provides early education and health programs for children from birth to age 3 to ensure that all students start school in good health and with good language skills.

The program is based at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
