Task ForceForming a task force is the first step in evaluating or planning programs in early childhood education. It is important to include representatives from all groups who will be impacted by changes. Although teachers and administrators typically are given the task of evaluating and redesigning programs, the task force also should include parents, representatives from agencies that collaborate with programs for children, and representatives from parent education organizations.
For an early childhood program to have the maximum benefit, the community needs to be involved with the planning and evaluation. Inviting interested members of the community to participate on the task force will increase understanding and may provide access to additional community resources.
