Early Childhood Education
According to the Thesaurus of ERIC Descriptors, early childhood education consists of "activities and/or experiences that are included to effect developmental changes in children from birth to the primary units of elementary school (grades k-3)" (page 90). Generally, early childhood is considered to include young children from birth to age 8.
